New Election — Same old collectivism
The Associated Press has reported that Hillary Clinton has released her new “broad economic vision”. Looks like the same old economic vision that the world spent most of the 20th century experimenting with and failing. Call it socialism, collectivism, or nannyism — just don’t call it “new”.
Clinton says it’s time to replace an “on your own” society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.
“Shared responsibility” means no one takes responsibility and rarely, if ever, results in prosperity. We’ve already learned this lesson.
The article continues: “I prefer a ‘we’re all in it together’ society,” she said. “I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none.”
When exactly was it that government “worked” for all americans? Was it during the New Deal, which has created untold debt for us today? Remember that bit about “special privileges for none” too.
Clinton says “There is no greater force for economic growth than free markets. But markets work best with rules that promote our values, protect our workers and give all people a chance to succeed,” she said. “Fairness doesn’t just happen. It requires the right government policies.”
So, she likes free markets, as long as they aren’t free? And this person is a serious presidential candidate? Wake up, people!
Further on: “Clinton also said she would help people save more money by expanding and simplifying the earned income tax credit; create new jobs by pursuing energy independence; and ensure that every American has affordable health insurance.”
I thought she said “special privileges for none”. Now she wants to increase the earned income tax credit, which is a special privilege for some. Couldn’t she even be consistent for one announcement? Do you really want this person to be president? And what exactly is the plan for “ensuring that every American has affordable health insurance”? Can anyone name even one big government program that actually reduced the real cost of something by adding a huge beaurocracy on top of it?
We’ve given the Republicans their chance. They talked the talk of small government but did just the opposite. The democrats offer nothing but the same old socialist policies which have failed each and every time they’ve been tried, everywhere they’ve been tried. How many more cycles of this do we have to go through before we decide it’s time to break this pattern? It’s time to stop making excuses like “wasted votes” and “lesser of two evils”. It’s time to wake up and see what these people represent, and it’s time to start voting Libertarian!

The lesser of two evils is still evil. This election will not have a single candidate that will reduce the size of government (Ron Paul will be eliminated shortly). Be sure you are not one of the ones voting for more government. Don’t vote for the two big government parties - vote Liberarian.
